1. Trade Term Definition: FOB Shenzhen
"FOB Shenzhen" (Free On Board) means that DTM Technology R&D (the Seller) fulfills its delivery obligation when the goods have passed the ship's rail at the designated port in Shenzhen, China, or have been delivered to the Buyer's designated carrier/forwarder at the terminal.
- Risk Transfer: The risk of loss or damage to the products passes from DTM Technology R&D to the Buyer once the goods are loaded onto the vessel or handed over to the carrier.
- Cost Responsibility: DTM Technology R&D is responsible for all costs and export clearance until the goods reach the port of Shenzhen. All subsequent costs, including ocean/air freight, transit insurance, and import duties, are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
2. Seller’s Responsibilities (DTM Technology R&D)
We will manage and fund the following:
- Standard export-grade reinforced packaging for drones, batteries, and accessories.
- Inland transportation from our facility to the designated Shenzhen port or terminal.
- China Export Customs Clearance, including the payment of export taxes and documentation fees.
- Provision of standard shipping documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Transport Documents).
3. Buyer’s Responsibilities
As the Buyer/Consignee, you are responsible for:
- Freight Booking: Arranging the shipping vessel or flight and coordinating with your designated freight forwarder.
- Transit Insurance: Securing and paying for cargo insurance to protect your investment once the goods are loaded in Shenzhen.
- Import Compliance: Managing all import customs formalities, paying VAT, import duties, and any local handling or storage charges in the destination country.
- Demurrage: Any costs incurred due to delays in booking or pickup by the Buyer's designated agent.
4. Drone Battery & Dangerous Goods (DG) Compliance
Drones and their high-capacity lithium batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods (UN3481/UN3480) under international transport regulations.
- Documentation: DTM Technology R&D provides all necessary safety documentation, including MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), UN38.3 Test Reports, and Safety Certificates for Transport of Goods.
- Forwarder Requirements: The Buyer must ensure their designated forwarder is certified and capable of handling "Class 9 Dangerous Goods." DTM Technology R&D is not liable for shipment rejections caused by the Buyer’s carrier lacking the proper DG certifications.
5. Production & Notice of Readiness
- Lead Time: Standard production lead times for B2B orders vary by quantity and technical specifications. Estimated timelines will be provided in your Proforma Invoice (PI).
- Notice of Readiness (NOR): DTM Technology R&D will notify the Buyer once the goods are ready for pickup. The Buyer should provide finalized shipping instructions and forwarder contact details at least 5 business days prior to the expected shipment date.
6. Inspection and Acceptance
- Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI): We welcome customer at our facility before the goods are dispatched.
- Damage Claims: Once the goods are signed for by the Buyer’s forwarder or the Bill of Lading (B/L) is issued, any claims for damage or loss during transit must be filed by the Buyer with their insurance company or carrier.
7. Essential Export Documents
Upon departure from Shenzhen, DTM Technology R&D will provide the following documents to facilitate your import process:
- Commercial Invoice (CI)
- Packing List (PL)
- Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB)
- Battery Safety Documents (MSDS / UN38.3)
- Certificate of Origin (CO) — Available upon request; additional fees may apply for specific certifications.
8. Force Majeure
DTM Technology R&D shall not be held liable for any delays or failures in delivery resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to port congestion, labor strikes, natural disasters, or changes in national export regulations.
