When Refunds Are Issued

Defective Product: 100% full refund - DTM covers all costs

Shipping Damage: 100% full refund - DTM covers all costs

Specification Mismatch: Negotiable (case by case) - DTM covers if our error

Standard Return (Unopened): Product price minus 15% fee - Buyer covers return shipping

Custom/OEM Products: Non-refundable

Non-Refundable Items and Costs

Products That Cannot Be Refunded

  • Custom/OEM Products: Manufactured to your unique specifications, cannot be resold
  • Used or Modified Products: Items showing signs of operation, modification, or improper handling
  • Software/Firmware: Once activated or flashed to hardware
  • Consumable Parts: Propellers, batteries (after first charge), adhesives, seals
  • Clearance/Sale Items: Unless defective, marked as Final Sale

Costs That Are Non-Refundable

  • Original Shipping Charges: Unless the return is due to our error or defect
  • Return Shipping Costs: For standard returns (buyers responsibility)
  • Restocking Fee: 15% for standard unopened returns
  • Custom Development Fees: Engineering, prototyping, and tooling costs for OEM projects
  • Bank Transfer Fees: Any international wire transfer charges
  • Currency Exchange Differences: Fluctuations between order date and refund date

Refund Processing Timeline

Day 0: Return request submitted by buyer

Within 48 Hours: DTM issues Return Authorization (RA)

Within 10 Days: Buyer ships product back to DTM

5-7 Business Days: DTM inspects returned item

Within 5 Days: Refund approved and processed

5-10 Business Days: Funds appear in buyers account

Total Timeline: Approximately 15-25 business days from return request to funds received

Refund Methods

Refund via Original Payment Method

Bank Transfer (T/T): Refund to same bank account - 5-10 business days

PayPal: Refund to PayPal account - 3-5 business days

Credit Card: Refund to same card - 7-14 business days

Western Union: Bank transfer (WU to business only) - 5-10 business days

Important Notes

  • Refunds can only be issued to the original payers account (anti-fraud policy)
  • For bank transfers, please provide complete bank details including SWIFT/IBAN
  • Currency exchange rate differences are not refundable
  • All bank charges outside China are for buyers account

Q: How long does it take to receive my refund?

A: Once your return is approved, we process the refund within 5 business days. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank: Bank transfer (5-10 days), PayPal (3-5 days), Credit card (7-14 days).

Q: Can I get a refund instead of replacement for a defective product?

A: Yes! For defective products, you have the choice between full replacement or 100% refund. Both options include DTM covering all shipping costs. Contact us to discuss which option works best for your situation.

Q: What if I paid by bank transfer but want refund to a different account?

A: For security and anti-fraud reasons, refunds must be issued to the original payers account only. We cannot process refunds to third-party accounts under any circumstances.

Q: Will I receive the exact amount if exchange rates changed?

A: Refunds are processed in the original payment currency (USD). If your bank converts to local currency, the amount may vary slightly due to exchange rate fluctuations between order date and refund date. DTM does not cover exchange rate differences.

Q: Who pays the bank transfer fees for refunds?

A: For defective/damaged product refunds: DTM covers all bank fees. For standard returns: Buyer is responsible for any bank transfer fees. International wire transfer charges are always for buyers account.

Q: Will I receive a refund confirmation?

A: Yes! Once your refund is processed, we will send you a refund confirmation email with the transaction reference number, refund amount, and expected arrival date. Keep this for your records.
